A Preferred Alternative has been selected and the Final EIS is available for review. The public comment period was completed on November 20, 2007.

To download the Final EIS, technical appendices, and public and agency review comments, please go to the Reports page. All three documents are also available for review at public libraries and facilities throughout the study area.

 

A summary of the Final EIS is available in Section 2 - Summary. This section provides an overview of the project, the proposed alternatives, and a summary of the impacts of those alternatives.
Section 4 - Purpose and Need of the Final EIS defines the goals of the 11th Street Bridges project. This section also describes the purpose of and need for the project.
Section 5 - Alternatives presents the four build alternatives, including the Preferred Alternative, and the No-Build Alternative.
Section 6 - Affected Environment describes the existing conditions in the study area. The 21 sub-sections describe the various resources of the affected environment and issues the public and agencies helped identify during scoping and review of the Draft EIS.
Section 7 - Environmental Consequences discusses the impacts or environmental consequences of the proposed alternatives, including the Preferred Alternative and the No-Build Alternative, on resources in the study area.
Section 8 - Traffic and Transportation describes the analysis and performance of the alternatives with respect to traffic and transportation.
Section 9 - Section 4(f) discusses the issues related to the project’s potential effects on publicly owned parks and recreation areas and significant historic sites.
Section 12 - Comments and Coordination summarizes the public outreach and agency coordination activities that have taken place during the study.
